Dear Fatima, our daughter Sophie and we decided that your accomodation and hospitality was the best of our 3 weeks trip at the acores. We enjoyed the stay at pedra de lagar. We often have our breakfast outside behind the house with the view over the garden with the grapes and the typical landscape arround calheta des nesquiem. Thank you for your hospitality and kindness.

In case you like to get not only in touch with the island, as well as with the people living there, ADEGAS das Canadas are the right decision, we come again, for sure! The accommodation is really western europe standard and is perfectly situated for travelling around.
Our first time. Our first long holiday since over 20 years. Our first trip to the Azores, to Pico. Our first real whale in live. And that on the terrace from the Adega Velha. A dream come true. Ocean view and seeing Dolphin splash from the breakfast table. Thank you Fàtima, thank you Hèlio, for this place, this house, your hospitality, your sincerity, ...... I spent two wonderful weeks at this beautiful house "Adega Velha". I travel a lot but this is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. Hope I can come back someday!
I had a really relaxing stay in a wonderful quiet place. The host lady Fatima Soares helped me out a lot. Eventhough breakfast was not included she had something prepared for me. Since I was a lonesome wanderer without car she drove me to the fully equipped apartment (very comfortable) and to the hard to find start of the "Caminho dos Lagoas". Thanks again! Lisa Borger
We had an excellent stay here from early to mid-August 2014. Mrs Soares is an open-hearted and welcoming host who made our time in this beautiful small house even more memorable. Not necessarily for those expecting luxury, but certainly perfect for those who enjoy a stay in a genuinely peaceful rural environment.
We spent a fantastic week in Adega Velha, the small and cute little house with its beautiful terrace and the natural sourounding! Thank you Fatima and Helio for a wonderful holiday in Calheta de Nesquim at Pico Island! We enjoyed the nature, the ocean view (we even spotted wales and dolphins from the balcony!), the barbecue and the Acorean way of life. The little house has everything that you need to experience a wonderful time at Pico Island, we can highly recommend it to everybody!
Estivemos em Agosto na Adega Pedra do Lagar e adoramos. As instalações são espetaculares, muito limpas, com muito espaço, ótimas condições. A simpatia dos proprietários foi excecional, acolheram-nos com muita simpatia, embora tivéssemos chegado muito tarde e mostraram-se disponíveis e atentos às nossas necessidades. Ficamos fãs do Pico!
It was our third time when we visited Adega Pedra do Lagar. It was fantastic staying. The same, nice and pleasant people - Fatima and Helio, their family and friends, incredible surrounding and wonderful ocean view. PEACE OF MIND. We will be come back next years...

We spent a fantastic week from the 2nd until the 9th of September in Adega Velha. Directly in the garden we ate fresh figs and grapes. In the surrounding we found a good place for swimming, a restaurant with local food and home made licors. All is really quiet and during night time you can hear some night birds. Recomendamos a Adega da Pedra do Lagar a quem vá visitar o Pico. Não poderíamos ter ficado num sitio mais calmo e acolhedor. A casa é fantástica e está extremamente bem equipada, com os donos sempre disponíveis a ajudar e orientar na estadia. Muito obrigada, foram dias fabulosos no Pico.
We spent a wonderful week of holidays in Adega Pedra do Lagar. The house is beautiful and perfectly comfortable. We saw from the window dolphins jumping in the ocean! The natural swimming pool was the best place of this kind I have ever seen. It's really nice and safe place for snorkelling even for children. Thank you Fatima and Helio for your hospitality.
Nous avons passé quelques jours très agréables et reposants à "l'Adega velha". La petite maison convient bien pour deux personnes et nous avons apprécié la terrasse abritée qui permet de prendre tous les repas à l'extérieur, même quand le temps est un peu incertain.
